Welcome to Drummoyne District Juniors Rugby Club – Season 2012
2012 is shaping up to be another great year at the club. We are excited that the ball is now rolling and we welcome back all returning players and look forward to meeting new players in the weeks to come.

2012 Season Launch
On Thursday 1st March at 5.30pm @ Taplin Oval, Bayswater Road Drummoyne we invite all players and parents to attend the season launch. It will be a great opportunity to collect your kit, meet your new team coach & manager as well as your fellow players & parents.
The event will be approximately 1.5 in duration and we will be holding a sausage sizzle at the same time.
We look forward to seeing you then.
Registration 2012
Club registrations (all grades) will be conducted on Friday 10, 17, 24th February at Taplin Oval, Bayswater Road, Drummoyne. Registration fees for 2012 are: $150 1st family member, $135 2nd family member, $120 3rd family member. We will have EFTPOS facilities available as well as accepting cash & cheque.

Registration fees cover player insurance, shorts, socks & training shirt (to be collected at the 2012 Season Launch event). Game day tops will be given to each player by their team manager, for use during the season.

COME and TRY RUGBY
Come and Try Rugby is a fun sports program for boys and girls aged between 5 and 8 years i.e. U6-U9. It caters for all abilities and experiences and provides safe, fun activities and modified Rugby games.
The on-field program focuses on the development of basic hand eye coordination and movement. Parents are welcome to get involved, or they can socially enjoy the Rugby activities from the sideline. It’s a great chance to catch up with other parents too.
We will be running a TRY Rugby program over a three week period … on February 10th, 17th & 24th from 5 – 6.30pm at Taplin Oval. It is a great opportunity for returning players to dust off the cobwebs and interested new players to get a taste of the great game.
TRY Rugby program fees are $20 and player will receive a ball, drink bottle and cap.

Training Sessions
The first training session for the 2012 season will be on Thursday 8th March @ 5-6pm @Taplin Oval. Most teams will be training on Thursday afternoon however some teams may wish to train on an alterative evening however this is at the discretion of the coach & manager and the arrangement of lighting being available on the oval.

We are currently looking for individuals who are available to coach the U13 & U15 teams. If you are interested please contact David Newall on 0413 700 747.
Trial Games
At this stage, confirmed trial games for U10-U15 are scheduled at Hunters Hill (Boronia Park Oval) on Sunday 25th March.
Efforts are being made to seek out additional trial games, on 17th March – we will keep you posted on any further developments).
First Round
Here are the dates of the first round:
U10-U15: Fri day 20th – Sunday 22nd April, please note this is the last week of the school holidays.
U6-U9 (Minis @ Concord): is on Saturday 28th April (2 games will be played)
