This is our inaugural event and we would love to see as many Drummoyne mums and supporters at this event.

Keep checking back to this website (click the mini logo in the right hand column) for the upcoming draws. The draw has been prepared for the first 2 weeks only, taking us up to the school holidays.  There will be no games during the school holidays so Round 3 will be on 5th May.

 

SJRU Draw 2014

The draw has been released for rounds 1-4.

SAVE THE DATE

We extend a warm invitation to our inaugural Dirty Reds Mothers Day High Tea Sat 10th May, 2.30-4.30pm at Cafe Birkenhead. It should be a fun afternoon and something we'd love to make an annual event. Pop it in your diary and other important ladies in your life are most welcome too. Tickets will be on sale soon. $20 for champagne, canapés, cakes and coffee. The club is subsidising the event in recognition of the special work you/we do!

 

camp wallaby 2014. NEW format!

Camp Wallaby 2014 is on again this year… boasting a new format. The camp includes two different programs catering for players aged 6yrs to 14yrs, focusing on learning skills and implementing them in playing the GAME!

1. Camp Wallaby U10 - U14 ‘Skills & Play’ Camp ... 14 / 15 / 16 April 2014

2. Camp Wallaby U6 - U9 'Ready, Set...Play Rugby' Camp - 16 April 2014

3. Camp Wallaby – Coach Development opportunity: ARU Coach Development department want to invite any interested coaches to assist & further develop Coaches in Club Rugby across the state. If you have boys or girls attending the camp this is a great opportunity to assist Development staff in the delivery of the camps Skills & Games! More details attached.

Camp Wallaby U10 - U14 ‘Skills & Play’ Camp (New Format)

Aim: The format will include:
- Learning and implementing the skills to play Rugby (age specific)

- Playing cross field seven-a-side Rugby in an exciting, fun, tournament style atmosphere (age specific)

Age Group: U10 - U14 (age turning in 2014) old boys and girls

Dates & Times: 8:30am - 3:00pm on Monday 14th April
9:00am - 3:00pm on Tuesday 15th April
9:00am - 3:00pm on Wednesday 16th April

Cost: $270

Camp Wallaby U6 - U9 'Ready, Set...Play Rugby' Camp (New Format)

Aim: The format will include:
- Learning and implementing the skills to play Rugby (age specific)
- Playing cross field seven-a-side Rugby in an exciting, fun, tournament style atmosphere (age specific)

Age Group: U6 - U9 (age turning in 2014) old boys and girls
Date & Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm on Wednesday 16th April
Venue: St. Ignatius College Riverview, Lane Cove

Cost: $85

The Drummoyne Districts Junior Rugby Club thank Chris Wilkins at Ray White Drummoyne for generously donating tickets to the recent NSW Waratah's vs Queensland Reds match at ANZ Stadium. We are most fortunate to have Ray White as such a passionate supporter of rugby in our area and of the NSW Waratahs.

Season Dates 2014

Here are the SJRU 2014 Season dates.

Competitions

Our U6-U9 teams are part of the Inner West Mini competition. Game day matches are played at St Luke's Oval, Concord on Saturday mornings. We only play in school term.

Our U10-U16 play in Sydney Junior Rugby Union Sunday competition (there are no zones as previous demarcated in years past). Games follow school terms but some games occur in the last week of school holidays.

Communication

We publish a regular newsletter 'The Red Word'. Please keep a look out on our website which we'll be refreshing as regularly as possible. Or become a member of our Facebook group as we update this as our first port of call.
