In the eagerly anticipated grand final rematch, playing away from home, it was always going to be a tough, close game. After trading early penalties we were marginally ahead by 3 points, only to have a defensive lapse just before half time letting St.Pats in for a try under the posts. Drummoyne were down 17-12 at the break.

We came out firing in the second half, putting lots of pressure on their attack with good defence. This resulted in a mistake which was capitalised on by our veteran outside centre Wise Koroi, crossing over for a well-deserved try.

A great kicking display by new fly half Luke Giles kept us in good field position for most parts of the game, and also helped in getting out of our own half, after being pinned on our own line midway through the second half. A great defensive game kept St Pats scoreless in the second half, with some crucial late lineout wins against the throw, helping to keep St.Pats from scoring. Drummoyne adding a late penalty goal late in the game to seal the game 25-17 denying St Pats a bonus point.

The game was played in great spirit with special mention to Club Captain Rob Hahn, new comers Tom Carruthers and Luke Giles for their outstanding contributions.
